Official warnings

  • Calls or messages asking for money about inmate records. Government agencies will not ask for payment or personal information through the jail portal or by unsolicited contact about an inmate record; do not respond and report it to local law enforcement (Indiana County Jail Public Portal (INjail))33

Official copies vs look-alike sites

A certified copy comes only from the office that holds the record; reports and "research copies" sold by commercial sites are not issued by any Indiana office. How to tell an official record source from a paid look-alike.
