No statewide owner search; DOR Property Tax Data Portal publishes statewide statistics and public tax roll data; DOR Local Officials page links to every county property appraiser and tax collector2

Appealing a value
Petition the county Value Adjustment Board (filed with the clerk of the court) within 25 days of the TRIM notice (Notice of Proposed Property Taxes); or sue in circuit court within 60 days after the assessment is certified for collection or 60 days after a VAB decision (s. 194.171(2))3

Clerk of the Circuit Court (county recorder) in each of the 67 counties, unless a special law approved by county voters assigns recorder duties to another officer5
Deeds: how to search
Each county recorder must publish a current online index of official records (grantor/grantee names, party names, date, book and page, comments, type of record) from no later than January 1, 1990, with a document requisition point for obtaining images or copies; the index must be capable of feeding a central statewide search site6

How Florida handles it

  • Free property fraud alerts. Every clerk must run a free recording notification service (since July 1, 2024) that emails registrants when a deed/mortgage is recorded against a monitored name or parcel.8
