How New Hampshire handles it
- Vital records are kept by 234 city and town clerks plus the state DVRA - any clerk can issue. Any of the 234 city/town clerks or DVRA can issue certified copies12
- Property tax is municipal (town selectmen/assessors), not county. Abatements go to selectmen or assessors, then BTLA or superior court13
- Unified state court system; Circuit Court divisions replace county probate/family/district courts. Circuit Court has District, Probate and Family Divisions1
